Do you provide certificates for your courses?

Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion for all modules/courses successfully completed. You can download your certification upon successful completion of the module/course.

Do I need to purchase any books to complete the course? If so, how do I go about that?

Yes, we have recommended texts that are an integral part of the course content. If you enroll in the complete Advanced Skin Analysis course, they are included in the cost, and provided as e-books. If you purchase the modules in the pay as you go option they are not and can be purchased from this website. There are options for individual books and the entire Advanced Skin Analysis course library.

 

Does this course look at holistic causes of skin disorders and disease?

Yes, The Pastiche Method examines in detail all contributing factors to skin health.

 

How long will the entire learning pathway take and how much will it cost?

Each of the 5 modules of Advanced Skin Analysis can be completed in less than a week if the learner is focused and has the time available. Average time is generally 4 weeks per module, so all modules could be done over a 5 month period part-time with ease. Each module costs between USD$150- $175. If you purchase the entire Advanced Skin Analysis program in one go, the cost is US$675 - a saving of approx 20% overall.

 

I am interested in completing the distance education training in advanced skin analysis. How long do I have to complete the course?

 

You have a maximum of 3 months from enrollment to complete each module of the course. Average learning time is 4 - 6 weeks. 
If you enrol for the complete Advanced Skin Analysis program, you have 12 months. Extensions are available upon request.

 

 

My computer skills are not great, can I manage the e-learning?

You need minimal skills to use our distance learning. As long as you follow the instructions in the orientation section of how to use the system you should have no problems. 

 

On a multi-module course, how do I enrol and pay for the next module?

 

You enroll for each module separately, and pay the fee on enrollment. As you are already a registered learner, you automatically receive your logon access link via your nominated email.
If you are undertaking the complete Advanced Skin Analysis course, you only pay at the very beginning, with codes issued at the end of each module to access the next.

 

 

Will I be able to apply to use natural products along with the knowledge gained from this course? (I.e. no chemical products)

Yes, The Pastiche method is non-product or treatment philosophy aligned. You can apply the knowledge gained to any treatment philosophy or modality.

 

Will I have access to all modules unlimited whenever I need to refresh my knowledge?

Unfortunately, no. As with most seminars and courses, you have limited time periods to complete the modules, (dependant on size of modules) followed by a review period of 7 days after course completion. If your learning account is still active, (You are undertaking other courses) then you will still have access to all the courses in your library.
Remember you will still have your course notes and printed resources if you have downloaded them.

 

Will I require any expensive machines or devices to use your method?

Not at all. The only devices we recommend are tools for diagnostic purposes only, and are optional to the methodology.
They are used to confirm findings and allow the diagnostic process to be conducted more quickly. Many clients will take more notice of and be more confident what interventions and treatments you are prescribing when they can see the results of the skin measurements for themselves.

 

I cannot remember how to log in to distance learning, how do I sign in?

 

Email admin@pastiche-training.com with your details and an enrolment administrator will organize a re-set of your account. If you are on a compliance course that has a team leader, you can contact them for a reset also. Please note you may be asked to provide proof of your identity.

I have tried to log on for the first time and I am unable to. The error message tells me there is a security block, why is this?

The temporary access link that was sent to you on enrollment has expired. It is only valid for 48 hours. In the orientation section, you are advised to access your account as soon as possible after receiving this link to set up a permanent password and update your profile. To re-enable a new link to access your account, email admin@pastiche-training.com with your details and an enrolment administrator will organize a re-set of your account.

 

I haven't done any of my skin analysis classes in quite a while and have lost my information about the course and can't remember where to sign in. Can you please remind me on how to do this?

I submitted an enrollment a few hours ago, but have not received any acknowledgment or receipt. How do I know if the application and payment has been received or processed?

Please check your spam filter to see if the logon information is there. Some webmail providers automatically filter emails sent by automated systems. If it has not been stopped, please contact admin@pastiche-training.com and an enrolment administrator will confirm correct email address and investigate the problem further.

 

I was having difficulty with enrolling on a course. I hit the submit button a few times. I then received two confirmations, have I enrolled and paid twice?

No, you have only enrolled once. Because there are some times delays in refreshing the screen due to intermittent internet connection problems between the main servers, you may get more than one confirmation when the submit button is pressed more than once. All enrollments are checked daily by human moderators, so you will never be charged twice on your credit card.

 

Are we able to print slides from the slide show? If so how is it done?

All of the courses have images of the slides included as part of the course notes transcript. You can also try to capture the slide as it appears during the video with a screen capture app.

 

I am unable to open the PDF of the student resources. It opens as a black page. We have tried to correct this by downloading the updated version of Adobe and restarting my computer has not helped.

I can only print page 1 of the student resources notes. How do I print other pages?

This problem is related to the PDF reader plug-in of your browser and is generally limited to devices running iOS (Such as iPads).  It can also be related to the Javascript function not being activated in the browser.
Please refer these configuration requirements for details.

 

I can only see a black screen where the video should be, nothing else. What is wrong?

The device you are using does not have the correct set-up/plug-ins to view HTML5 based media. Visit this linkto check your settings.

 

I can see the documents in the student resources folder, but there appears to be no facility to save them, just open them up. What is wrong?

You may not have a full version of Acrobat reader, or the tool bar is hidden. Try the right click mouse function where there will be a save/print option.

 

I made the mistake of not printing out all of the course notes as I went, and now need them again. How do I find them?

If you have missed a particular document, you will need to go back to the appropriate student notes or resources link and download again. 

 

Some of the student notes and forms I need don’t appear to be in the student resources folder on-line. How can I get them?

The notes and forms you need were available in an earlier unit of learning. It is best practice to print off each set and put them in a folder as you go because you refer to them many times during the course. If you have missed a particular document, you will need to go back to the appropriate student notes link and download again. An index of student notes can be found at this link.

 

The student resources course notes are not there when you click on the link. Please advise how I can get these.

How do I take the assessment? I have listened to the first module but can't seem to access the assessment.

You must allow the video to fully end and the “Next module” tab to be visible before you can progress to the assessment. If you exit the video before the “next module” tab is visible, you will return to the unfinished part of the course. As with all sections of the course, do not close the window or browser until the “next module” tab is displayed or you will just go back to the beginning of the previous unit within the module. Always use the exit tab to return to the module list when closing down.

 

I am having trouble progressing through one of the assessments. No matter what answers I put in, I am advised that they are incorrect. What am I doing wrong?

This is probably due to not reading or understanding the questions properly or noting what the question hint is suggesting. Example 1: If there are 5 possible answers out of 7 options, you must choose all 5 correct answers, not just one or two. Example 2: If you are being asked questions specific to the dermis, you should not include answers that are related to the epidermis.
Remember you can check which questions you got wrong by using the "Results" feature on the right side of the course content listing.

 

I can see all the course materials but can't get into the modules to start doing them. What am I not understanding about this process please?

 

You are not following the steps as described in the Orientation section. After you have viewed/printed the course notes, you must use the “next module” tab to progress further. Do not close the window or browser or you will just go back to the beginning of the previous unit within the module. The same applies at the end of the presentation video. You must wait for the “next module” tab to be visible before closing or progressing.

 

 

I completed an assessment and got all the answers correct, however when I go back in to continue, I am going back to the same assessment again. Why?

You have exited the assessment before completing it completely or not using the exit tab. You can only move forward when the “next module” tab is displayed. As with all sections of the course, do not close the window or browser until the “next module” tab is displayed or you will just go back to the beginning of the previous unit within the module. Always use the exit tab to return to the module list when logging out.

 

I have been trying to do one of the units of learning, and it won't seem to load. It keeps stopping and can't get past a certain point. A little box keeps coming up with a rotating hand as if it is loading it then won’t move from this. What can I do to ge

Your internet connection is not supporting the speed required to download the streaming video. If you have previously been able to view without problems from the same device and connection then it may just be a temporary localised internet speed problem. If you are experiencing this at one particular location only, then the internet connection speed is insufficient.

 

I have just completed the final module and it keeps telling me I only got 90% but it doesn't tell me which question I answered incorrectly. I can get right to the end. What is wrong?

If you have only got to 90% on the overall course, then you have missed a step. Have you completed the Summary and Comments & Opinions sections?

 

I paid for numerous modules of Advanced Skin Analysis but can only see the ones I have completed or am currently taking. Where are the others and how do I get access?

Modules that are part of a structured learning path are delivered in sequence. Access to modules in the learning path (even if paid for in advance) are not provided simultaneously as this will cause confusion and disrupt the flow of the learning path sequence. Each module in the sequence becomes available when you finish the preceding module.
